About me
My Audio career started early on within Perth college, meeting musicians within the surrounding areas and working in a variety of Perth and Dundee venues untill I became the in house tech for The Greenroom. Working these venues whilst going on a variety of UK tours helped me to adapt to any live sound scenario. I then started work with GoNorth and worked a variety of Scottish based festivals such as Belladrum and Rockness allowing me to get used to the amount of pre-production that goes into large live gigs with multiple bands upon one stage.Soon after I was employed by Horsecross who own Perth concert hall and theatre. This showed me not only the audio aspect of large scale gigs but all the backstage and lighting aspects as well, from here I attended evening lighting classes whilst working first hand with lighting rigs allowing me to do not just audio but also lighting.
During my last year in Perth I worked with the BBC as a camera and editing assistant for the Scottish Curling championships as well as installing and operating a means to record bands live sets within the Greenroom. This gave me a chance to improve on my post productions skills learnt within Clearwater studios, Perth UHI and from my own home experience.
I then acquired a job as an audio technician with Glasgow life spanning a variety of venues such as the royal concert hall, the old fruit market,Mitchell theatre, tramway and more giving me the opportunity to use many audio and lighting systems from the biggest to the smallest. Throughout this job i have had a lot of experience in stage managing, audio engineering, rigging/stage building, lighting and general crew work.
I still maintain freelance work outside of Glasgow life working in venues such as Broadcast, pivo pivo, walkabout and more allowing me to keep up to date with the current Music scene
