About me
I am currently completing an MA in International Film Production. Ever since I was young, I have always been interested in storytelling. The writing was an important part of my life growing up, I wrote scripts, short stories, etc. My passion for film making began before I knew. I was used to doing stage performances and directing school and youth club plays'. I didn't yet know that I was directing, for me it was just being in charge. I spent countless hours escaping into the different narrative worlds of film. I'd say the first film that sparked my interest was The Princess Bride, the dialogue was brilliant as well as the way the story was played out on screen.During my time at university, I spent time script writing and then realized that I wanted what I saw in my head to make it to the screen which is why I am fascinated with writing and directing. The format of film making for storytelling is amazing to me as it's a way to escape and I know that I want to be able to create different narratives for audiences to escape into, even just for 1-2hrs of their lives. This past year on the MA has taught me a vast amount concerning film making. I was lucky enough to have received training from industry professionals at Pinewood Studios. I had the chance to try out various roles and enhance my skills in certain areas of production, as well as apprehend the significance of film etiquette. I'm now looking to develop new experiences and challenges to help me in advancing further along with my career plan. I am willing to try out various roles as I feel that every bit of experience is worthwhile, eventually leading up to writing and directing.
