About me
I am a theatre director specialising in characterisation. In addition to my work as a director, I have supported other directors (for example as a character coach), choreographers, opera directors and radio producers. My approach is based on my years of teaching experience, particularly at East 15, where I originally trained, and where I continue to work regularly.Additional skills:
I believe that an actor must function in the same way as any artist. An actor must 'feel' to do the work. Without emotional input, the work will be nought; never mind how wonderful the voice and movement.
But how do we train 'feelings'? How do we encourage spiritual growth and the enlargement of the imagination? How do we instil the discipline to be used for a particular piece of work - a play or a film?
Our aim is to enhance other people's lives. But how can we ever hope to do that, if we have not already enhanced our own?
