14167 Films was formed in 2009 by director Nic Saunders with a short film collaboration with poet Michael McClure.

Nic Saunders studied at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, London and made his professional directing debut with a stage production of the counter culture musical "Hair" at The Edinburgh Festival in 2003.

This was followed in 2004 with the World Premiere of "Black Aspirins" by Verity Bargate nominee Darrin Grimwood and in 2006 with the London revival of "The Beard" by Michael McClure.
