Emily Wade and Griff Mellhuish first worked together in 2001, with the Hull based Spin Off Productions. Together, they devised and delivered drama projects and workshops to schools, community groups and additional needs centres across the Yorkshire and Humberside region.
In 2005, they decided to continue their working partnership back in London and formed Smalltalk Productions, taking Spin Off’s theatre in education shows to schools across the South. It was whilst touring with these shows that they identified a need for quality, professional entertainment in residential homes and community groups. So began the Carousel Theatre Company!

They are committed to bringing professional small scale theatre shows, to anyone who cannot get out to the theatre themselves. This includes residential care homes, community groups, day centres and additional needs groups.

They have seen the beneficial effects that music and theatre can have, particularly with dementia patients and those with additional needs.
