Collusion Theatre Company is a Scottish theatre company with a commitment to the local community and an international perspective.

Collusion seeks to produce work of imagination and quality. It seeks to entertain whilst striving to explore and experiment with theatrical style and form, creating work which is challenging and accessible.

We create new work through a process of devising and exploring ideas through theatrical metaphor and visual image. Over the past few years we have developed partnerships in Europe, working in cities such as Prague, Warsaw, Wroclaw, Dresden, Kassel, Vilnius and Brussels. We are currently developing projects with partners in Germany and Estonia.

We are interested in the power of theatrical projects to help bring people together in theatrical celebration and exploration. Many of our projects therefore include participation by local communities and we work extensively with young people.

Collusion is concerned with bringing together. We are bringing together artists from Scotland and Europe and performance projects often fuse movement, drama and sound to produce visual and emotional theatre.

A programme for young people with learning disabilities has been an important aspect of our work since our formation including the 'Activate!' Programme in 2004, with performances, talks, seminars and workshops at the Tramway Theatre in Glasgow

Collusion has been supported by organisations such as The Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, The Scottish Executive, The Scottish Arts Council, The Heritage Lottery Fund, 'Culture 2000' and the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. All support has been on a project basis, and the company relies on income from fees to fund its core activity.
