'SHOT' 2005
Gagged Theatre was founded by Lucy Godfrey (writer/director) in 2002, it is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. After completing three A-levels at Colchester Sixth Form College, Lucy studied a degree in Dance at the London College of Dance, followed by completing a Masters Degree in Theatre at the University of Essex.
Lucy wrote her first play (Sharp Edged Emotion: 2001) as part of her Masters Degree, since then she has written and directed four more productions and formed Gagged. The Company has toured its work around the Eastern region, London and performs regularly at the International Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
Gagged Theatre has been involved in the Arts Council East flagship initiative ‘East to Edinburgh’, where two of their productions have been selected to represent the region and funded to perform at the Edinburgh Fringe.
