Spare Tyre uses theatre with voiceless communities to provide opportunities for people’s life stories to be shared and celebrated, creating theatre that transforms lives and challenges social prejudice.

Over the past 30 years Spare Tyre has worked with a wide range of communities, nurturing the creative impulse, leading to personal and political fulfilment.

Currently Spare Tyre has two main areas of activity:

* Elders Theatre Community: creative work with older people
* inc.Theatre: creative work with adults with learning disabilities

Spare Tyre works intensively with people who have a wide range of disabilities such as dementia, autism, physical and sensory impairments, mental health, downs syndrome, and seizures.

The company actively trains, works with and manages artists, production staff, administrative staff and volunteers.
