Talking Lens is a well established independent film production company based in the city of Leeds. We work with international talent to develop and produce high quality feature films and documentaries appealing to international audiences.

The aim is always to produce challenging and unique films of artistic value appealing to international audiences. We are very much script centred and work tireless to hone and perfect the script before considering it for development (see our Script to Screen Service page for more details.)

Talking Lens intends to act as service-production company and co-financier for international co-productions. As a film production boutique embedded in an audiovisual distribution label, our focus is to develop long term relationships with cinema top production talents, ensuring that we constantly deliver the best – both from a creative and a business perspective.

We specialise in making films that deal with serious issues but with a sense of humour. We aim to make films for a global audience; Films that entertain and inform, so you leave the cinema with a smile, a tear or just having enjoyed the ride!

Talking Lens is very passionate about encouraging local talent to find a foothold in the industry and to this end we always aim to offer opportunities to Yorkshire based talent and to actively promote the region. We ensure that throughout the year and on all our productions newcomers to the industry and graduates are given internships, work placement opportunities and assisting roles. To formalise training even further we have now established The TrainingLens Academy to provide formal intensive training in all aspects of media and filmmaking.
