New Rep Theatre, formerly The New Rep Company was formed by Cecilia Colby and Mari Cameron in 2010, with the long-term aim of creating a repertory-style touring theatre company which will produce a cycle of productions each season, comprising of classical, modern and newly- written plays. This is with the intention to help to re-instate the invaluable position of the rep-company within both the theatre industry and the community, taking a wide range of works (from Sophocles to Shakespeare, to Stoppard and beyond) around the country and making good, affordable theatre available to those who would not otherwise be able to experience it. This will include airing plays which are very rarely produced or revived by professional companies, but which have a great attraction to audiences if given the opportunity to see them.

We are the resident theatre company at Shoreditch Church (where Shakespeare himself worshipped and where Richard Burbage is buried). Our 2013/2014 season will launch in August 2013, with a summer school at New Diorama Theatre, followed by a revival of our Peter Brooks/Equity Ensemble Award-nominated production of 'The Caucasian Chalk Circle,' at The Gatehouse, Highgate. The three production season runs until March 2014 and will play at The Gatehouse, Shoreditch Church and New Diorama. These productions continue to provide work-experience placements for technical theatre students.
