The Principal Theatre Company is an award winning professional theatre company based in North London.

Their patrons are Lynda Bellingham, Christopher Biggins and Ruth Madoc.

Principal was founded by Paul Gladwin in 1999, and after Elizabeth Rowden performed in Principal’s 2007 show ‘Twelfth Night’ she knew that she wanted to be a part of Principal’s future. As a result they are now Joint Artistic Directors.

Principal’s Manifesto: To present an annual open-air, professional Shakespeare production that is accessible to ALL – after all it is called a ‘play’!
