Theatre Writing Partnership unearths, supports, inspires and works for a rich, diverse, innovative new writing culture.
Theatre Writing Partnership (TWP) is the East Midlands regional development agency for the encouragement and promotion of new writing for the theatre. The company is primarily committed to developing and supporting writers based in, or strongly connected to, the region.
TWP is a charitable organisation, and has a core staff of two: Kate Chapman, CEO and Artistic Director, who is at the helm of the organisation, leading on strategic development and the artistic programme; and Bianca Winter, General Manager and Producer, who is responsible for the company’s operations.
Started in 2001 by four regional theatres, TWP has gone from strength to strength and became independent in 2006. TWP is now at an exciting stage in its development as it plans for the next three years of activity, building on strong partnerships and developing new strands of work to support a vibrant writing ecology.
