About me
I have just completed a three-year Film Studies course graduating with second class honours (2:1). My studies focused on the analysis of genre and subtext to the understanding of filmmaking and the British film industry. The degree involved work placements where I gained experience in office and film set environments. I earned an assistant to the producer credit on the movie "The be all and end all" for Whatever Pictures where I was delegated with film festival entry. This involved strict deadlines, attention to detail and trust with payments. Sharpshooter Productions allowed me to be part of a film crew and use equipment from cameras to green screens. Both placements were high pressure jobs requiring me to perform ad-hoc duties from answering phone calls, liaising and running various errands across the city.In addition to my qualification and work experience I have written a feature length script that won an award for best screenplay at the New Orleans Horror Film Festival October 2011. Winning this award in a highly competitive category with hundreds of applicants illustrates my commitment and the qualities that I hope will lead to future success in an industry I feel so passionately about.
