About me
I am an enthusiastic, friendly and confident person, with very good people and language skills and a lot of experience in hospitality, retail and customer service. Additionally, as a zoology graduate, I have gained extensive knowledge of the natural world and conservation issues and I’m experienced in working with animals through my volunteering in Africa, France and Australia. In my spare time I enjoy travelling, filming and photographing wildlife and have experience using Adobe Photoshop and Premiere. In Australia at the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, as a Zoo Keeper assistant for 6 months, I was responsible for editing wildlife photos and videos and uploading them onto their social media Twitter page.
I’ve always been inspired by and interested in the visual mediums of television and film as well as new communication devices such as virtual reality. I am captivated by the way media has transformed our culture and, as a Zoology graduate, I am especially inspired by nature and wildlife films. I am moved by the way they change our view of the world and encourage us to protect and treasure it. In October I attended the 2016 Wildscreen Wildlife Film Festival which confirmed my passion and interest in this vocation.
I am flexible when it comes to working hours at a short notice and am also willing to work any evenings and weekends when required.
In the future I hope to eventually obtain a job as a researcher within the documentary and wildlife TV/film industry but would love the opportunity to first gain experience as a runner within a company based in either London or Bristol.
