Key Skills
I have a wide range of making skills in both Costume and Set which help my understanding of design vastly and improve my ability to create ideas that can then be realised successfully. These include a fair level of pattern cutting, both contemporary and period, with a keen interest in historical costume. I have skills in textile, printing and dye work and have a take great enjoyment in the distressing of fabrics. I have experience in millinery and have basic skills in wig making. When it comes to set design my greatest skill is painting and surface texture, I have a real passion for trying to recreate textures in the real world by trying out all sorts of bizarre materials. I have a basic level of woodwork skills, never afraid to try out a new power tool.
Academic
2010-2013 University of the Arts London, Wimbledon College of Art: BA Costume Design for Theatre
2008-2010 Bristol School of Art: Part-time Art Foundation Diploma
