Highlights
-
At the age of seventeen, I worked on my first production as a production runner, my first taste wasn't my last and I went onto to work on commercials, short films, experimental and documentary films. From working as a runner, I went onto work as a boom operator before I finally started making my own short films and going onto university to do my degree in film making.
My experience on sets, both on location, in studios and in offices have lead me to work with radios, organising and looking after extras, setting up and dismantling tracks, transporting equipment, sourcing out locations, working as a grip in operating dollies, handling wires through tracking shots, changing camera lenses, adding gels to lights, setting up and dismantling light sources, leaving the set to buy or pick up props, ensuring light stands are secure, assisting in putting together call sheets, handing them out to the cast and crew and being helpful in any way I can.
Through my degree, I worked on a series of productions that enabled me to work with film contracts, health and safety issues, logging sheets, clapperboards, light meters, on location, in studios, microphones, nagra sound equipment, Bolexes, Arri SR2's, 16mm film, beta, d9, steenbecks and digital editing. I've worked with Adobe photoshop over the years, within my diploma for art and design course and for an creative magazine assignment that enabled me to undetake a work experience placement at Saatchi and Saatchi.
Since graduating, I have been concentrating on the craft of screenwriting, currently doing my MA in it at the London college of communication. Over the last few years, I've had the opportunity to make and work on short films that have been screened at international film festivals.
Currently at the moment, my work pattern is changing, allowing me time to go back to working on films. My whole life has revolved around media, whether I'm writing a script, making a film, volunteering at a film festival, watching a documentary or participating at a film festival. The chance to work on your production is an opportunity for me to further exapnd on my skills and contribute towards making your shoot run as smooth as possible.
My passion for film and TV, leads directly into my great team working skills and my ability to adapt to situations quickly, find solutions to problems and be fast on my feet and knowing when to be silent.
