Year Qualification Where 2010 3D Animation Qantm College
A 3D and motion graphics artist who was working at Mott MacDonald, a global engineering, management and development consultancy. Experience with 3D modelling, texturing, lighting, animation, rendering, compositing, editing, still image/matte painting and photomontages. Software use includes Maya, 3DS Max, After Effects, Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
July 2016 - July 2020
Company: Mott MacDonald
Employed as a visualisation specialist for this engineering consultancy. I had the opportunity to utilise various skills and make use of software creating visualisations for large-scale infrastructure projects such as the the Thames Tideway project, the Heathrow airport tunnel system and the M20 smart motorway. The latter in particular was very successful leading to further work with Highways England. Being a fluent user of After Effects enabled me to create stylised 2D animation videos that were used for public consultations. CG animation sequences of proposed developments for various large and small-scale projects have utilised 3DS Max and V-ray to create animated, photoreal visualisations and photomontages. The use of physical lighting and hi-definition camera equipment had also enabled me to create a variety live-action corporate videos, often published to all 16,000 employees on the company's intranet.
October 2015 - March 2016
I worked as an animator and 3D modeller for a NGO. The aim was to create a series of 3D and 2D educational web videos. Working to strict deadlines, fully rendered 3D and 2D animation sequences lasting approximately 2 minutes in length had to be animated, rendered, composited and edited with sound within 12 working days (per episode). I also had modelling tasks of various assets for the sequences.
March 2014 - March 2015
A start-up tech company, winner of a Barclays Accelerator scheme award, I was a 3D artist modelling properties/buildings for companies including but not limited to Regus, Zoopla and Prime Location. Modelling and texture baking within Maya and then driven by the Unity game engine to bring properties to life for augmented reality.
August 2012 - July 2013
Motion graphics artist
Company: Racam Studio
Creation of promotional videos that featured motion graphics, green-screen removal of actors and grading using After Effects for small businesses and educational institutions including the West London Business College.
June 27th 2012 - July 4th 2012
2D visual effects artist for the feature film "Kenneth" - Monster Island Films
Working on single shot for the film Kenneth, the aim was to get a goblin to come out of the lead character's ear (Kenneth). The original filmed plate had the goblin lying on the floor behind the lead character who was also lying down. The actor then crawled up. My job was to make that actor appear as though he was being stretched and deformed as he came out of the ear. This involved a lot of rotoscope work as well as the use of a variety of distortion tools available in After Effects.
May 1st - May 4th 2012
Company: Dollhouse Pictures
Freelance motion tracker, rotoscope artist, 3D artist, and compositor, April - May 2012 Visual effects for the horror film Weaver Fish. I created the visual effects for human beings that had partly mutated into weaver fish. The majority of the film featured underwater shots so I was able to develop methods using existing skills to realistically portray visual effects in that environment.
January 2010 - October 2011
3D artist, motion tracker and rotoscope artist.
Internship - 3D artist, motion tracker and rotoscope artist, January – November 2011
Under the supervision of visual effect supervisor, Diego Vazquez, I worked on the production of Treasure Island for Sky TV making use of 3D modelling, animation, motion tracking and rotoscoping. I was based in Realise Studios for the majority of the project giving me an insight into how a studio environment functions to deliver products on time.
