Highlights
-
I was Costume Designer and Head of Wardrobe for two one actor plays called 'Clamber up the Crucifix' and 'England Expects' the actors play multiple characters. They were both on at Upstairs at the Western in Leicester, and will be touring between Aug and Oct. They were both Off-the-Fence productions. I was given a tight budget, I then designed, researched (Edwardian male and female costumes and WW1 soldiers uniforms) then sourced, altered and made the costumes. For 'Clamber' I had to age the costumes as the play is set during the first world war in a field hospital and the trenches. 'England Expects' has been through a big development costume wise, it required a few costume changes on stage which we have tried to reduce, as it took too long and the actress was getting too hot as she was wearing a few layers.
