About me
Since graduation, I have been working as a Receptionist at Oxford Brookes, where I have learnt how to effectively and efficiently communicate verbal and written tasks via computer. I also filled Front of house duties and served as first point of contact with all staff and guests internally and externally. Last week I just finished volunteering for the Raindance Film Festival whereby I supervised the Immersive Gallery and oversaw VR operations during my shift. Not only this summer, but over the past few years I have developed a solid base of experience in many different roles within the industry.
Leisurely I attended the Cannes Film Festival thus exposing myself in detail to the inner workings of promotion for film based events. But also, in particular, I took part in the ‘Hot House’ marketing Program at your company which I learnt more about independent planning and pitching a marketing plan for a panel.
I have also recently been involved with the student Oxford ISIS magazine as their broadcaster and thus collaborated and advised with others to create content, and have been involved in lots of exciting projects such as my involvement at the TEDxOxford event where by I focused on guest hospitality for high profile speakers and held the position as executive assistant in management capacity.
Last but not least, I also enjoyed working for the Oxford International Film Festival as a Host, providing hospitality for participating directors, executive assistant duties mainly for accompanied directors and being available at all times for further unscheduled assistance.
Along side my study and creative projects I also worked part time at Oliver Bonas delivering high quality customer services and demonostrating flexibility and willingness to adapt.
Being involved in these projects gave me the opportunity to learn about the dynamic and rapidly changing ways in which films are consumed in the public arena whilst also self - managing my workflow during my time at Oxford Brookes University.
