After the Shipwreck

An introspective seach for God
After the Shipwreck is a philosophical film inspired by German expressionism. In front of Heaven's Gate, men and women wait for a divine message that could help them find redemption. The arrival of a priest, Father Ramirez, gives everyone hope. But Nigel, a priest who feels abandoned by God, sees his chance to commit a blasphemy. Lying and playing with people's emotions, he persuades the crowd to stone Father Ramirez. But even after this, God doesn't react, leaving Nigel disconsolate and impotent.
