Apart From Us is an exciting sci-fi horror film with a mythical twist, being produced by ambitious final year students at the University of Gloucestershire & based on the archetypes of Shakespeare’s The Tempest. The project offers a fresh and unpredictable interpretation of The Bard's final play, and is expected to have 10-15 minute runtime. The story follows Mira; who disorientated and hungry, wakes to find her cell door open. In an attempt to begin unraveling the many mysteries she faces, she begins to explore the empty prison and she soon discovers she is not alone; the spectres of the dead still roam its halls, echoing sentiments of doom. But, Something even more terrible slinks through the shadows. Something of darkness she must acknowledge as hers; a beast she can only overcome with the help of Vigil, a spectral guardian whose intentions are decidedly unclear. The prison is more than it seems, and so is she.
