Breaking light is about two men from opposing worlds with opposing ideologies coming to terms with the results of their actions. After witnessing a horrific car crash that leads to the death of a family with children, a powerful yet beautiful storm causes the pair to loop backwards in time. Rob is aware that the cause of the crash was as a result of his actions. As they gradually understand what has been happening, the two try to fix the course of events, which cause the crash. However, no matter how hard they try, nature (time) always seems to find a way of correcting itself. Rob, having found God, starts believing that this is a test from the almighty to atone for his past sins, a way to finally prove he has been reborn. After tormenting himself over this dilemma, he convinces Ben that the only way to stop this is to take himself out of the picture (Rob). Ben, disgusted t first by the idea, finally sees it as a way of finally adding meaning to his life by saving others. Although, has he actually stopped the looping and saved the people?
