For over 400 years the small town of Bridgwater in Somerset has held one of the largest illuminated carnivals in the world. ‘Land of Make Believe’ gives unique behind the scenes access to this spectacular event for the first time ever. It follows the trials and tribulations of the Marketeers Carnival Club who, in their 50th year, are attempting to win the prestigious Bridgwater Carnival for the first time in 25 years. Filmed for BBC Inside Out West it was shortlisted for best News and Current Affairs Program at the 2011 Royal Television Society Awards in Bristol and at the 2011 Ffresh awards in Cardiff.
