Dan, a young boy who is tormented by bullies on a daily basis, experiences recurring dreams that tell him he is a destined superhero, Danton. With no friends, Dan has no one but the school counsellor to confide in and unburden his worries to. Things change when a sheepish young girl, Dani, enters the classroom as a new student. As friendship blossoms between the two, they start helping each other. Together, they try to decipher the meaning behind Dan's dreams. However, things escalate when Dani has to move away. How far will they go to save their friendship and stay together?
