Set in the 70's a little girl befriends a myserious male friend

Synopsis for David Rose. Ten year old Stella Stewart's world changes when a strange young man enters her life with heartbreaking consequences. Stella lives with her mother. Haunted by her dead brother Robbie, Stella is bored and lonely. A strange young man called David Rose appears and Stella becomes fascinated by him. Here, finally is a friend, someone she can confide in. Things take a turn for the worse when Stella's mother sees David kneeling in front of Stella with a red rose. He is banished from the house and arrested. Years pass, Stella feels compelled to search for David Rose. Incarcerated in a mental institution and forgotten, David's doctor passes over a small wooden box. "He wanted you to have this" Stella feels remorse, "I should have come sooner" An unexpected event occurs when Stella opens the box. Jenni, Stella's seven year old daughter waits for her mother's return. "She'll be back soon, when it's time"
