A woman’s oppressed journey through life is transformed by an unusual friendship, introducing her to a sensational world of colour and self-expression.
Xiu is a cleaner in a London school; her life is run by her work and by her lazy husband who relies on her for everything. When she gets an invitation to a Flamenco event by her work colleague, Gloria, she takes a look into another world that inspires her to take a step away from her downtrodden life. She finally takes control of her own life and pushes her husband to become the man she once fell in love with. Her new perspective on herself helps bring her into a welcoming multicultural community.
