Disfunctional family and friends try to survive one members birthday

It's Jacks birthday and having to contend with his depression and alcoholism is only the least of his worries. His Gulf War veteran brother who also has drug issues stops by and an ensuing story begins. Having to ignore advances from his Sister in-law Clarisa and deal with his hypochondriac sister Diane, He and his brother Ian get high. In the meantime Ian's drug dealer girlfriend Ephedra and adopted brother Mars fight over a deal and politics, and just as you thought it couldn't get messier Jacks gay neighbors and have a lovers tiff paving the way for Diane to seduce one of them. Drugs, alcohol and death, bring together a sense of belonging to whom?
