Gavin's Father left when he was very young. He recalls memorable trips to the beach where he and his Father would dig and dig and dig in the sand. The present day. Gavin sees a photograph of what looks like his Father - in Australia! He plans to dig. Dig his way down through the Earth's core. He leaves his job, sells his car.
