Black and white romantic comedy

A struggling actor wants to propose to his girlfriend Joanna Teal but cannot afford an engagement ring so he decides to hold up a shop to raise the funds. Unfortuntely he walks into a professional gang's hold up and narrowly escapes. He later gets an acting job in the Crim Time reconstruction of the crime which leads to all sorts of sticky situations. In the end with the money from the reconstruction he is able to purchase a ring and secures the hand of Joanna.
