A brother and sister keep seeing faces of non-human beings looking through windows at night. Their mum has disappeared - and the dad thinks that it might be connected to the creatures that the children have seen. The family have a video - taken not long before the mum's disappearance - where one of the faces is seen at the window during a birthday party. The dad allows the video to be shown on the news, but it is regarded as a hoax. The dad gives the children video cameras and tells them to keep them on all of the time, so that next time something happens to them they will have irrefutable proof. The dad starts to interview other people who have had similar experiences - and look at video evidence that some of them have. One of the abductees that he meets tells him that the creatures have given him a message - that they will come back for the children in seven days. There is a black out in the house - the family start to see the creatures inside the house. The dad catches one of the creatures - and finds that it is one of the abductees he met dressed as a creature. The police think that the man may be involved in the mum's disappearance - but he denies it. The family start to think that the experiences are all over - then there is another black out and they start to see the creatures again. Their car breaks down, so they flee into the woods at the back of the house. The time counts down to the moment when they were told that the creatures would come back for the children...
