Frank

2014, 19 minutes

A retired soldier undergoes experimental treatment that causes him to become disassociated with his family and reality itself in this non-linear short.

How desperate would you be for money? It's present-day England. The British Army are still stationed out in Afghanistan but for recently retired soldier Frank, the real challenge starts when he realises he will now have to adjust to the normality his new life will bring when he and his best friend Andrew move back to their hometown, where Frank's unemployed wife Marie waits for him. With no further career prospects, Frank, in desperation decides to take part in a series of secret experiments led by the mysterious Doctor, a man driven by his obsession of the human psyche. As the experiments get more intense and Frank becomes more distant to those around him, reliving painful memories of his service in Afghanistan, he is left in a state of anger, paranoia and doubt, doubts of his friends, his family and even himself
