Film about the female scientist Eunice Newton Foote and her research into Climate Change
Global Warning is a short film about the life of Eunice Newton Foote, a female scientist and women rights activist who in 1856, identified for the first time the prominent role of what would later be called greenhouse gases in the warming of our atmosphere. However, because she was a woman, her experiments were not taken seriously by the mostly male scientific community at the time. A few years later, another male scientist called John Tyndall came up with similar experiments and results. Today he is the only one remembered as the discoverer of the greenhouse effect.
