Adam Robinson has a secret he is the main star of his own film or is he?
Home sweet Home tells the story of 19 year old Adam Robinson who harbours the delusional belief that his own life is being staged or filmed for the entertainment of others. Escaping into the world known as reality Adam considers his surroundings to be decorations. Events and situations are scripted and the people that surround him are actors designed to fit into this orchestrated production. As we are given an insight into Adam's memories the situation takes a turn for the worst as Adam is wrongly mistaken as a delinquent youth and is brutally stopped and searched by a police officer, stripping Adam of his one and only safety net his I-pod. The story no longer becomes an obsession of Adam's delusional belief to identify real from reality. But in fact turns into an intriguing tale of a young boy who suffers from schitzoffective disorder. After witnessing his father's murder by the hands of police officers at the tender age of eight, Adam has struggled to come to terms with his father's death and instead has seeked comfort within the voices in his head. Having lived with this secret and ashamed of his illness we witness the battle and torment Adam endures with the voices in his head. As he tries to break free from these voices he is forced to revisit the final moments of his father's death recreated in current time through the actions of the 'actors' that surround him as he mentally breaks down. Adam's belief is that his memories are being exploited to viewers to gain more ratings, he has no option but to commit suicide as it is the only way to get out of the show and return home, but the question is will the show let him?
