Based on the 2009 thriller novel written by Dan Wells. It is the first installment in the John Wayne Cleaver trilogy. A teen-age boy with a fascination for serial killers begins to suspect the brutal murders taking place in his small Midwestern town are not random killings by animals or drifters, but a connected to a supernatural serial killer.
