I Love You, a charming tale of a 15 year old boy who overcomes his inhibitions - with a little help from his mum and dad - and pushes himself to go on a 'date' I Love You This heartfelt short story was in the running for the "Best Family Screenplay" at the Kids First! Film Festival (October 13th 2007). 15 year old DEAN is late for his date. He's taken ages choosing right outfit; the right jacket. And, he's written a letter, in the form of an ice breaker? A confessional? As time shortens, his pace quickens past one girl, then another to get to his where he going; to get to who he's meeting. So who is this mystery date? DEAN arrives at a greasy spoon cafe, and looks around until he finds the 40 year old woman sat alone. "Dean?" she asks. "Are you my real mum?" DEAN asks. And so starts another chapter of Dean's life.
