This project is about a painter called Patrick, who is dealing with dark hallucinations of his troubling mental condition.
Patrick feels alone in his tribulations, until he meets a mysterious woman who can see them too. Just before Patrick encounters this woman, the film opens with Patrick painting a little girl next to her mum, where a mime comes along and steals away the interest of the girl. This angers Patrick. He subsequently punches the mime in the face, which of course makes the girl scream. This sets up the character of Patrick for the duration of the short. It’s also a slightly humorous beginning, on top of a dark, mysterious film.
