A short political documentary examining the rise of unpaid internships in graduate employment
This short film looks at the rising epidemic within graduate employment which encourages employers and graduates to undertake unpaid internships. Within the arts and media industries particularly, many graduates are expected to 'earn' a position on the career ladder by undertaking a long period of unpaid work in a company, often misleading and not resulting in employment. Looking at the legal and ethical implications, this documentary reveals opinions from interns, MP's and employers in order to assess the consequences of this.
