Intoxicated

A post-party aftermath inspired by A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Loosely based on a modernised idea of Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream lovers; a farcical, quick-paced, drunken, love-square ensues, in which the characters are in the glorious chaos of post-party intoxication rather than a traditional love potion. Nikki has had a lot of vodka... she has been estranged from Luke, her one and only, her soulmate, back in the club - a dramatic and tearful search is the only logical solution. Poor Danny sheepishly stumbles along behind her, bearing the brunt of the storm; he's still trying to figure out through the beer goggles what on earth is going on. Luke is so emotional he just can't comprehensively express himself - though that may be the Jack Daniels and Coke rather than the poetry. Gemma is sober. She needs her bed. She needs a cup of tea. She needs everyone to shut the fuck up.
