Bare knuckle fighting
A young man loses his job and his 'gangster' boss persuades him to do some paid bare knuckle fighting. His mother sees how bruised he always is and wonders where all the extra cash is coming from, but the boy tries to keep her away from the truth. The boy grows up to become a famous fighter years later.
