MICKALL (Based on Michael Watson's "555") By Scott Brown and Michael Watson

"MICKALL is a touching drama is about a young mixed race man in London. An oppressive and radical government has taken over from the BNP in 2017 and has enforced a regime of hate against foreigners with the slogan "Keep Britain British". They have enforcers on the streets looking for people with a heritage that has a foreign background within 2 generations, all races and genders are under threat, and if people are found guilty of not being "British" enough, then they are deported or if they fight then they are killed. This short drama shows Michael's story through a young white British man called Harry Webb, who finds and then reads Michael's diary. After reading the diary Harry finds himself in a moral dilemma when another young refugee is running past him, should he help the man or just leave him to his fate? With Michael's tragic story in his thoughts, he realizes that he can't go on ignoring this injustice; that all men and women are equal, so he makes a stand costing him his own life, but showing others that this has to stop."
