Black mirror inspired short - the wider society has an implant that doesn't allow them to forget anything, aside from one character who fights against the new system
The story follows Alex and his roomate, Dan. Alex cannot afford the new implant and due to everyone else having it, is fired from his job. His roommate Ed, who does have the implant, tells Alex that everyone in society is better than him and that he is going to get left behind prompting Alex to lash out and punch him, hitting his head and rendering his implant void. Ed forgets all of this and Alex gets the implant, reversing the roles and looking down on Ed in exactly the same way as Ed did to him
