Mistaken Identity

Three youths, KULY, AMAR and BERNARD come out of Stratford Tube Station in East London to meet a girl. AMAR talks on his mobile phone, to his brother JASS. JASS wants AMAR to come home and help their father. AMAR decides to stay out with his friends. JASS and his girlfriend NATASHA leave the house to check on AMAR. The three youths enter a shopping centre. KULY smokes marijuana and drinks beer, as they wait for BERNARD’S new girlfriend they are approached by three other youths who try to sell them a stolen mobile phone. The three youths get aggressive. KULY threatens them. The three youths back off. They walk away. With no sign of BERNARD’S girlfriend, they are approached by two shopping centre SECURITY GUARDS and three POLICE OFFICERS. They try to run but are blocked by the police. BERNARD and AMAR are nervous. KULY plays it cool. He insults POLICE OFFICER NEWLAND. POLICE OFFICER HARDY looses his cool and becomes increasingly aggressive. Suddenly POLICE OFFICER HARDY loses his temper and sprays AMAR with CS gas. The POLICE OFFICERS and the SECURITY GUARDS begin to fight with the youths. JASS reaches the shopping centre. He tries to stop the fight but gets caught up in it. The fight gets more bloody, violent and out of control. AMAR is kicked and punched. BERNARD, KULY and JASS are handcuffed and taken away. What happens next is completely unexpected and ends in tragedy.
