PASTRY is a story about a 'sweet' seduction and the character's self-conscious relationship with her body.

PASTRY is a short fiction film with an almost surreal story of a ‘sweet’ seduction which gradually undermines the main character’s self-conscious relationship with her body and and so allows her to receive the love that is offered to her. It is a light-hearted but meaningful look at how women perceive their body weight or shape in relation to others around them and how the idealistic (but often detrimental) impositions of a patriarchal society undermines the confidence of many women and fails to provide them with a positive perception of themselves. It all starts when Caroline, a business woman, allows her desire for a doughnut to win over her months of dieting. But the first doughnut leads to a doomed diet, and so much more. Unable to resist further temptation, the second time she enters the bakery she is served by a young woman called Cody. Cody is immediately attracted to Caroline and curious about her. Learning that Caroline has ended her diet, Cody encourages her further by offering various pastry delights for Caroline to try. She seduces Caroline with amusing anecdotes on how different pastries represent different types of personalities, implying that Caroline could find something (or someone) more appealing to her tastes than her usual doughnut.
