Martin is a middle aged, recent divorcee who had given up on love until one day he stumbles into a flower shop and meets Lizzy. Lizzy is a florist, who is hard of hearing, but she is charmed by Martin's awkwardness and unintentional silliness, their chemistry is undeniable. Love truly is found when you least expect it. However, things quickly sour when Martin's seemingly innocent request for a Red Begonia takes an unexpected turn. Without fully realising the consequences of what he has asked for; Martin exposes himself to the criminal underworld. In almost no time, Martin is introduced to Franco, a hardened mobster who with the help of Lizzy makes a series of demands that push Martin deeper into the murky waters of the mob than he ever intended. Once it becomes evident that Martin is unable to complete the request for a "Red Begonia", he is given a series of ultimatums that he cannot escape.
