Period war drama

After a vulnerable British soldier sends a series of letters to his distant French Lover from a secret campaign in Bordeaux, company officers realise that the opposition has been informed of their every advance. As his honour and allegiance are doubted, Spanish Mercenaries are dispatched to arrest his lover, forcing the soldier to sacrifice everything for love and flee the battalion before he too is seized and put to the guillotine.
