Robert helps Susan steal the turtles from her cruel grandfather
Susan finds Robert sat crying in a wood. He's just been dumped. However, she has bigger problems. She has made off with 8 turtles from her grandfather's house, which he was planning to turn into soup. They agree to help each other and form a close friendship. But as the story develops, we find out more about Susan's grandfather and his life in the 1940s, and his true motives for keeping turtles. This film is told through two time periods.
