Audiences are invited to follow along the journey of these individuals, following them from tehir decision to join the war effort, their days training right through to the day victory was declared and their life post war. Supported by archive footage and with input and commentary from noted historian and author Kevin Wilson, this programme brings to life the dangers, the camaraderie, and the losses operating in heavy bombers over enemy territory night after night.
