A young Chinese girl tries to make it as a ballerina in London.

A contemporary drama set in London and Beijing, it explores the problems of modern Chinese people leaving their home country. Summer Liu, a girl from northeast China was nurtured by her parents to be an artist. We join Summer Liu (27) after she left the school. She is living in a North London bedsit, training at a local dance studio and working in a pub. All the while, Summer is trying to find the sense of belonging. Deep down, she knows ballet might not be the thing she wants in life. But it might be a seismic shift to realise that she doesn't want to dance at all.
