Take Me On

2020, 15 minutes

A man clones himself in order to continue his life and shield his family from the truth and pain following his planned suicide.

Lukas is a young man who is failing to live up to his dream of becoming a successful actor. This, along with his refusal to give up and take on a 9 to 5 job in order to provide for his girlfriend and daughter, has caused them to walk out on him. Lukas, now suicidal, signs up to an under the radar assisted suicide service which provides a clone to live on in your place, allowing you to peacefully die whilst protecting those around you from the truth. Once signed up, Lukas has one week to teach his clone, known as Luke, everything he needs to know in order to become a convincing version of himself. However, as the week draws to an end and Lukas is due to be taken away and peacefully put to rest, apparent faults with his clone along with a change of mindset force Lukas to realise he still wants to live.
