Modern day relationship between daughter and mother
Following the death of their son, Mrs Armitage falls into a depression resulting in further strains in the relationship between family members. Jesse’s personality changes, as well as her dress sense, she becomes more self-involved because of her mother decline and lack of interest in anything she does, the final straw came from the departure of her father from the household and her mother not even trying to stop him. Jesse starts to disrespect her mother at any given time, mainly for attention. She tries many different ways to get attention from her mother, by bringing home guys she knows her mother would definitely disapprove of.
